How to test a Riello R40 G3 photocell

Use this photo guide to test a Riello R40 G3 photocell with BurnerCheck. Work through each step in order.

Step 1

Loosen the 3 screws and remove the red Riello 40 cover.

Step 2

Loosen the locking screw and pull back the white control box.

Step 3

Disconnect the photocell from the control box by pulling up and away.

Step 4

Insert the photocell into the Photocell test port on the BurnerCheck, keeping the connecting pins uppermost.

Step 5

Plug the photocell connector into the Riello test port on the BurnerCheck, until the connector pins make contact.

Step 6

Start the test by selecting Photocell on the Test menu.

Step 7

The BurnerCheck will display a PASS, WEAK or FAIL result depending on the photocell's condition.
